Motorists who want to
convert their foreign car and
motorcycle driving licences to Singapore Driving
Licence must pass the Basic
Theory Test conducted by the Traffic Police.
Singaporeans holding a foreign
driving licence must produce documentary proof of
six months continuous stay in
the country where the foreign driving licence was
issued.
It is a requirement for a foreign licence holder
to pass the Basic Theory
Test before applying for the conversion of their
driving licence at the Traffic
Police Test Centre.

Tutorial
Sessions - 1 tutorial session
will be conducted for Basic Theory Test
(BTT)
- The duration for each session is 100
minutes.
- You are required to book
for the tutorial session in advance.
- Be
punctual for your classroom
sessions.
- Please bring along your Student
Booklet for recording
attendance.

Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Physically and mentally fit
- Passed eye-sight and colour blindness tests
- Have not accumulated more than 12 demerit points
under the Driver
Improvement Point System (DIPS)
- Applicants above the age of 65 or pregnant
drivers must produce a
certifieddoctor's letter stating that he/she is fit
for riding during the period
of training.
