| Defensive Riding

Defensive Courses are set out to develop correct attitudes
and impart essential knowledge that will extend the
participant's skill in dealing with other road users and
potentially hazardous situations. The ultimate aim of the course
is to develop the participant to be "A SAFE DRIVER/RIDER."
Course Outline
- Understand the basic mechanics of your bike.
- Perform necessary pre-ride check
- Handle speed with ease and confidence without compromising
on safety.
- Apply effective braking techniques
- Anticipate the actions of other drivers and take corrective
measures to avoid an accident.
- Negotiate slopes and bends with ease.
- Plan your route effectively
Theory lessons 2 hours (Theoretical)
Practical Lessons & Session
Timings 2.5 hours (Practical)
This HALF-DAY course focuses on skill training includes
forecast training through simulator and practical training on
balancing, speed control, limit of cornering, skid control and
emergency braking.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2B riding licence
- Physically and mentally fit
- Applicants above the age of 65 or pregnant drivers must
produce a certified doctor's letter stating that he/she is fit
for riding during the period of training.
