Class 3/3A Express Course (For Class 3C/3CA)
Course Overview
This course is for Work Permit and S-Pass holder learners with a valid Class 3C licence who would like to upgrade to a Class 3 licence.
The course will help them to fine-tune their driving skills, and prepare for their Practical Driving Test.
- At least 18 years old.
- Mentally and physically fit.
- Learners must be able to pass the eyesight and colour-blindness tests.
- Learner holding other valid licence class: Not accumulated more than 12 demerit points under the Driver Improvement Point System (DIPS).
- Applicants above the age of 65 or pregnant learners must produce a certified doctor’s letter stating that he/she is fit to drive during the period of training.
- Valid Class 3C licence
- Valid Basic Theory Test for Class 3C licence holder
- Valid Basic Theory and Final Theory Test for Class 3CA

TRAINING & TEST
Practical Training
Practical Lesson & Session Timings
Learners will need to take a minimum of 1 Auto, 8 Manual practical lessons and 3 simulator training sessions. Once you have completed the simulator training modules and fulfill the recommended training requirement, you will be able to book for the Traffic Police Practical Driving Test.
A Final Evaluation will be conducted by the school to prepare you for your Practical Driving Test.
Practical Lessons have to be booked in advance. Booking of the lessons can be made via:-

Practical Lessons Requirements:-
- Training Record Book
- Original Work Permit/ S-Pass and Class 3C licence for every lesson
- Valid Provisional Driving Licence (PDL) before the commencement of every practical lesson
- Proper attire – no slippers/ sandals are allowed.
The duration of each session is 100 minutes.

Cancellation of Practical Lessons
Cancellation of Practical Lessons can be made via:
- Mobile app
- Online Booking System
There will be no charge if the Practical Lesson cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the booked session.
For lesson cancellation within 24 to 48 hours notice, a late cancellation fee of $21.80 (inclusive of GST) will be charged per cancellation.
Every learner is entitled to 18 cancellation counts. Once you exceed your cancellation counts, a charge of $5.45 (inclusive of GST) will be imposed for every subsequent cancellation. This applies to both Theory and Practical Lessons.
The amount paid for the duly successfully cancelled lesson, less any applicable cancellation charge(s), will be credited back to the Learner’s Store Value Account.
Enhancement Training
Auto Transmission Lesson (For Manual Learners Only)
The Auto Transmission Vehicle (ATV) Familiarisation lessons allows Manual transmission vehicle (MTV) learners to appreciate about the difference between the MTV and the ATV. These differences include differences in the controls and devices, features, handling and safety aspects.
Motorcar Training Videos
The Motorcar training videos (‘videos’) are produced based on the subjects in CDC’s Class 3/3A practical curriculum. These videos will show the core aspects of the corresponding practical subject.
These videos will be available as part of the enrolment package as an additional training resource or on a pay-per-view basis.
Traffic Police Simulator Training
In the Simulator training, learners will undergo 3 modules where they drive on simulated roads under various conditions that simulate potential road hazards.
This enables them to enhance their ability to recognise and respond to potential road hazards in a safe and controlled environment. In the process, this will help learners enhance their defensive driving competencies.
